The International Football Association announced that tickets for the matches of the FIFA Arab Cup will be available on its website: FIFA.com/tickets, starting tomorrow, Tuesday (at 12:00 noon Mecca time), according to the first-come-first-served basis.
The upcoming Arab Championship will witness the announcement of the readiness of two stadiums for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, namely Al Bayt Stadium, which will host the opening and final matches, and Ras Abu Aboud Stadium, the first fully dismantable stadium in the history of the World Cup.
While the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy in the State of Qatar announced the implementation of the fan card system during the upcoming Arab Cup, where all match ticket holders will have to obtain a mandatory fan card to enter the tournament stadiums, which is a smart identification card that will allow fans to use public transportation for free. During match days, a smartphone application will also be launched before the start of the tournament, with the aim of enhancing the fans’ experience in Qatar.
“The start of activating the fan card is an important step in support of our efforts to provide an exceptional and memorable experience for all fans and visitors expected to come to Qatar,” said Ms. Mariam Al-Muftah, Director of Information Technology at the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy.
She added, “The FIFA Arab Cup will represent a golden opportunity to improve preparations to host the 2022 World Cup, including the fan card services, which we will evaluate after the end of the Arab Cup.”
Fans wishing to attend the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup Qatar must apply for a fan card once they have paid for their tickets and received their purchase order number via email. Issuing a fan card online requires the presentation of a copy of a valid passport or personal identification card, in addition to a match ticket, as well as a confirmation number. Parents of fans under the age of 14 must apply for a fan card on behalf of their children.
