Al-Ettifaq leaves Vienna Airport.. and exercises will resume in Dammam on August 8

The delegation of the first football team of Al-Ettifaq Club left Austria via Vienna Airport, returning to the homeland after the end of the external camp that was held in Bad Tatzmannsdorf, Austria from July 7 to August 3, in preparation for the new sports season 2021/2022.

The technical staff, led by national coach Khaled Al-Atwi, had given the team a rest, to resume training in Dammam on August 8, in preparation for the Al-Batin match in the opening ceremony of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional League for the 2022/2021 season.

For his part, the Executive Director of the first football team, Omar Bakhshwin, confirmed the success of the camp amid a wonderful family spirit among the members of the mission, praising the efforts of the technical, administrative, medical and media bodies, which were integral to the success of the camp, noting that the Austria camp proceeded in the required manner, which included exercises in two morning and evening periods. And technical lectures, mental preparation and friendly matches, praising the players’ performance, discipline and high spirit during the camp’s progress.

About the camp, Bakhshwin said: “Thank God for the success of the camp, which went in the required manner and witnessed the presence of all the players.” He added: “Yes, we were supposed to play 5 friendly matches, but two matches were canceled for reasons beyond our control, the first was due to heavy rain and the second was Because the contractor chose the opposing team’s pitch with a bad pitch, we decided not to jeopardize the safety of the players by playing on that pitch and replaced it with a major maneuver.”

The Executive Director of Faris Al-Dahna expressed his sincere thanks to the international lecturer, Nabil Taha, Doctor of Sports Psychology, for accepting the invitation and his distinguished efforts in mental preparation, noting that Dr. Nabil’s presence is a distinguished addition to the Austrian camp, and he will be present during the next stage to complete his program specialized in mental preparation.

It is noteworthy that Al-Ettifaq in the Austria camp played 3 friendly matches, tied in the first with its Hungarian host, Halladash, with a score of 1-1, scored by Rayan Al-Balushi. Their Hungarian hosts, Zalaigersigye Torna Aguilet of Hungary, scored 3-0, scored by Brazilian Aleric de Sousa and Hazaa Al-Hazaa and Moroccan Walid Azzaro.
